my dear hubby spent a full day spraying the layer of jungle border with fabric softener and steam and scraping.... the fumes almost killed me . My husbands response to my severe headache and nausea from the smell was-- "what smell"??? oh, what in the heck can i put in place of these dreaded mirrored doors?

MOSAIC a funky wavy frame around it...maybe fluctuating 4 to 7 inches (on the actual mirror)...with artglass not tiles...!!! Of course depends on how strong the mirror/door is. You could incorporate broken mirror pieces in the with artglass....wahooo!!

ruth where do i find art glass? do i apply it with glue? Were you thinking the entire mirror?

Pull the doors off and have an artist alcove. Put storage containers in there for all your treasures...at best hang a curtain or wooden shutters or japanese folding doors.
