Depends on what you are using the room for...your studio??? If so, there are two schools of thought on this...one...some artist create better with...off white...or any neutral pallet..others inspired by being drenched in color..all about them so whatever colors inspire you...but if you go that way, ya gotta make it uber cool. You could even make a place..somewhere down low painted in a different value...for the kiddies to put their handprints or tootsie prints on.
Wish I could come help...Go your paint store...don't be overwhelmed..i mean don't look at all they offer...grab some sample thingys...I love Martha's because she has all the complimentary colors on same card..so that makes it eazy peazy to work with...don't want a flat finish...you want eggshell or satin..I prefer eggshell...lasts forevah and easy clean up..and you can do some cool faux finishes or even murals on it..good luck...don't be hasty..bring the sample cards home before you commit to purchase. Or you can buy a pint or two and slap on walls for a few days of viewing...
