To Blog or Not To Blog This Is The Question..

I began this journey into the blogosphere out of a desire to be creative , to make a scrapbook online if you will.
During this process I have learned there is so much more to having a Blog -at least a public one.
The time needed to blog well, safely, and with purpose, is more then I have, or am willing to spend .
So ,
I can abandon this blog,
Let it sit here and be what it is - a modge podge of all kinds of stuff, while enjoying reading so many excellent blogs
Or
Delete it, though that goes against my law of any creative work ( NEVER EVER THROW ANYTHING YOUR MAKE AWAY)
A FRIEND SUGGESTED MAKING IT private, WHICH WOULD SOLVE THE NEED for editing anything I write for fear of identity theft, stalkers, and the like.
I don’t really know what I should do. I have met some really special folks by being a public blog.
I have also become a collector of Spam messages, and again will have to spend time I don’t have walking my way through whatever steps it takes to block Spam. I don’t even know how to do it
Perhaps having a hired blog creator make one already problem proof would be a good alternative.
Gees… I don’t know
Any helpful ideas, suggestions, solutions, are most welcome

Go to your dashboard, to settings, to comments, scroll a bit down, set " Show word verification for comments?" on YES. Then save changes, and republish index.No spam comments anymore.

You can't leave me! We are in this ass deep together my friend. Find a blog designer and have them do a password protected access only blog for you. My buddy Jeanette has one of those. I think Seven could make one for you. (click on "blogs gone wild" on the top of my sidebar)

I have asked myself why I blog. What need does it serve? How else might that need be fulfilled?
Whether or not anyone else enjoys your blog, do you enjoy your blogging?
It came to me that, now that I've started, if I stopped blogging I'd just want to start doing something else very much like it.

i hope for our sake (the readers) that you don't decide to abandon your blog. school is back in full swing for me and i've hardly had time to even check my friends' posts, but they are and always will be very special to me. i hope you reconsider abandonment. your words are important.

Use the Word Verification, as I see you are doing now.

Also, under the Comments Settings, put your email address in there, so Blogspot can notify you about each new comment posted to your blog.

When you check your inbox, youl'' be able to see what is spam, abusive, etc., then click on blog title link at bottom of notice to go right to the post.
