funny you should mention Road Runners as we had one visit for the first time in years , just 2 nights ago.
I did my usual scramble for my camera; however, Captain Jack Sparrow, came following in pursuit, wrecking an awesome Photo OP =o

I did manage one click from a distance, just prior to the roadrunner flying over are back fence with a good sized lizard in its beek.
I will locate that picture now and post it =)

My roommates dog has a little burrow dug out under one of the trees for hot days. A heatwave around here is 75+ but still hot after living next to the Ocean for about 5 yrs.

We would be thrilled to have 75 again!!!
After spending 4 days near the central coast of California, I see that "A COAST" is the place to inhabit during the scorching months of the summer.
