To find the universal elements enough;
to find the air and the water exhilarating;
to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter
to be thrilled by the stars at night;
to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring
- these are some of the rewards of the simple life.

Nice. I have a thing I wrote long ago similar to this. Maybe I will post it sometime.

Post it Heather!
I love this anti-self pity, anti-paranoia, anti-ingratitude attitude.
This is so vital to cultivate within.
This is spirituality in a nutshell.
Er. Tha't did'tn sound rite did it?

Absolutely. That was my life prior to June 16, 1994. Loved it. I used to get up to write before leaving for work - after work I was tired, not a creative time.
So since I'd be up before dawn anyway, I made dawn my normal jogging time. From my early twenties through age 37. In small town New Hampshire, at that hour, it was like having the world to myself. That, for me, was church.

Dear Paul,
I have also experienced the spiritual nature of the early morning- the quiet, the newness, the awakening of the self.
It is precious.
I just want to express how sorry I am for the loss you have had due to the illness. Having experienced somthing some what similar, I truly feel your struggle.
Prayers for healing and strength SPIRITUAL DIABLOGGER.
