This seems to have an energetic pattern of offset activity, from the passive to the active, in a filtered distancing, or enspacement, of both remorse and expectation.
I like the colors and motion.
I can provide ambient instrumental electronic music for it if you want me to.
I suggest you try the new Mexican web service Flogger, for an art and music focused Flash enabled platform.

I must demur commenting. It is a facet of my odd character that I have no emotional response to paintings whatsoever. I realized this at about age 19 when I went to the art galleries in London for the first time tingling with excitement because I was going to see original Rembrandts and would finally experience whatever it is that people experience when they look at paintings. I felt nothing. When I saw the Mona Lisa some years later my reaction was to wonder what anyone saw in it. I tried for years to discover the key. Finally about two years ago I read Paul Johnson's marvelous ART, A NEW HISTORY, and realized that I respond emotionally to many other genres, so as I am past 70 I am now comfortable with that.

Hi MB,
It looks like electrical wire to me and with all the male and female signs , it points even more to electricity. What's the reference to Famplosion about? Was he in a band? Did he take apart an amp and then make this? Also, the circular shape is interesting - all the wires forming a circle. I like it that the lines aren't straight or perfectly round -- that they intertwine. To sum it up, I think it's about energy.

Hi Dacia,
yes, i feel the energy too i think it partly represent the mother and father M*F-and four offspring-which would be us 3 girls one boy. Perhaps the constant flow from the source-interelated and infinately moving???

I see this painting as a way for your father to cope with the disintegration of your? his? family. It is a deep subconscience attempt to tell the world that something is not right and could even refer to his mind flinging in many directions trying to find some way to stop the Famplosion with paint, color, line, emotion, and the result is that I do feel what he was feeling. It is a very expressive and really needs a history written about your father so others could feel with him as he struggles to keep control of what must be going out of control.
If you had not told me about your father, I would not have understood it as well. I would have given the same analysis but not have been able to aattach it to the particular artist.

Try photos of your father, families, homes, interests, etc as part of your project. This will b=get very personal. Are you eady for that?

OK, I hope its ok to be honest but I see sexual symbolism here. Do you see the symbol for male and the symbol for female? Also, look at the middle objects, they look like the egg after fertilization -splitting. Then look at all that energy going on. Hmmm Very Fruedian I think.

I agree with many of the other comments. I also see much male/female symbolisms here (God rest ye Mary Moore wherever you are, I can neither think nor say symbolism without puckering my lips just so) It is very busy. Very colorful, almost distracting. It makes me wish I could discuss it with your dad. ( i also secretly love that my father blogged you!!! Hi Bruce!! HEe hee)

((((CAROLYN)))) oh what a joy to see you here!
Your analysis is so interesting and me thinks could hold some real truth.
We shot pictures and video while i recreated FAMPLOSION. I am going to need a lot of tech help to use the movie making program to create the multimedia slide show. What in the hell was i thinking taking this class?? It is as time consuming as a part time job!!
