I LOVE this photo!! I am very into "dead" trees - old root systems, whatever - fascinating! I'll have to go back and dig up some old B&W photos I took in Joshua Tree - your tree pics made me think of them!! Lovely!! Another place on my list to visit!

Oh TAMMY-you must visit Southern UTAH! I have to talk to the head DUDE on the ranch but i dont think this is dead-but i could be wrong so will get back to you on this.
EITHER WAY- It is a FABULOUS old root system(i love your adjectives ) =)
Perhaps we could have an ARTELLA RE_UNION there or some where Beautiful!
