Happens with guys too. Probably just any two people who've known each other well?
I had a friend who lived next door and I first met in kindergaarten. For all our adult lives, until he died, we'd get together every several years and it was so strange how familiar everything was! No awkwardness or anything. Maybe it's especially true when you've known someone since childhood. You've seen too far into each other for any fakery!

PAUL,
i am certain every persons experience is unique; but re-unions with old highschool or college mates, have specific quality of a return to the past- most especially, if ther has been a complete loss of contact over the years.
In my experience is the complete lack of need for any pretense or "fakery". Just "here I am , there you are , remember when.. and so on..
It is a precious Blessing.
